The American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame and Museum honors people and horses who have contributed to the success of the American Quarter Horse.

Based in Amarillo, Texas, the kid-friendly museum includes both historical and educational/experiential exhibits.

Brief History

March 1940
A group of ranchers founds the American Quarter Horse Association to preserve the breed that had contributed so significantly to the United States.1

While the museum is of special interest to AQHA fans, the exhibits are set up to be interesting and informative to all visitors. If you are in the area, it is worth stopping by for an hour or so.
