Colorado Bend State Park in Texas is best known for its 70’ tall Gorman Falls, but it also offers hiking, camping, fishing, boating, and caving opportunities for the adventurous visitor.
Brief History
- 1984
- TPWD purchases part of the land that will become the park.1
- October 14, 1987
- TPWD purchases the remainder of the land and opens the park.2

The scenery is fantastic and there is plenty to do. Great park to visit and get away from everything (including cell phones, flushing toilets, and showers… but you did know you were camping and not staying at a hotel, right?).
